fleur de lys et prostituées This PhD thesis aims at identifying and optimizing location and sizing criteria and constraints for the design of new agriculture production systems, including goods and services, in urban areas. One of the main issues will be to the optimization of production and logistics planning to reduce costs all along the value chain and to guarantee the system sustainability. Our research focus takes its originality from pairing up strategic approaches of production site location and capacity sizing with tactical and operational approaches of delivery tours, in order to design systems able to meet various demands, differing on multiple criteria, volumes or production time. We will consider three types of demands for the food products in our models : (1) a bid request-type demand on medium volumes (if the bid is won, the contract guarantees the volumes to deliver and allows to plan production and logistics) , (2) a large retail and distribution industry-type demand (large but variable volumes, with high price pressure), (3) a BtoC-type demand (low volumes for numerous clients, but high variability in volumes and higher value-added for the supplier). We will mainly focus on strategic and tactical-operational decision levels on both the farm production and the logistics chain. Our research work will be on both exchanges (physical and information flows, decision-making process) and production optimization for different products (fruits and vegetables) within the agriculture production system. It will aims at defining strategic products to match the three types of demands, on the basis of supply and inventory schedules and identifying specific market positioning for local and good quality products. Different strategies concerning production (pro-active or reactive) and logistics (taking away, own-account or for-hire delivery) will be considered subjected to vegetal production constraints (little leeway on the length of the production, hard-to-store fresh products).
